Cardboard Model Car Sponge Boat Cardboard Model Car Painting Small Areas
Now we're going to start painting the car. The first areas we want to paint are going to be the window and we're going to also paint the head lights. For that we're going to use a more of a yellowish gold color. And we do this before we paint the larger areas of the car, meaning the body of the entire car. And we'll go ahead and just paint those areas first. And afterwards we're going to take an outline which will help these areas also stand out even more. You see that our base paint gave us a nice coat where those colors,.
Whatever was on the box doesn't stand through. Even though you can still see some colors but not enough will come through when we apply our colored paints. So really that we see that the base coat did its job. And we'll go ahead and use some other colors for our, for the front, for the lights and we'll put a little license place on as well. Even though that we're going to be using a marker to outline the borders of all these shapes to make them stand out, it's important that when you're painting them on to the car to make then as.
MAGLEV TRAIN HINDI 17MB.avi
The maglev train is a very fascinating science project. this has been premade by LG in korea. it has magnetic tracks. now these are rubberized magnetic strips which are used in the fridges. when two similar strips are put together, they repel. now this is the plastic track on which these rubberized strips can be placed. magnets should be all in the same orientation. now the track is ready. now this circuit consists of a fan, a toy motor, a switch and a 3V battery pad. when you switch on the fan spins. this is the train chassis. first you put the magnetic.
Strips. then you take the switch and place it in the small switch place, then the battery pad and then place the motor. now this train is ready. place the train chassis on the magnetic track. similar poles will repel and slightly lift it. on tilting the track, the train will move, because of the tilt, from one end to the other. and now you put the switch on. the fan is going to blow air and push the train in opposite direction. because of very little friction due to magnetic lifting track. this is how maglev train works. once again.
Cardboard Model Car Sponge Boat Cardboard Model Car Applying Base Paint
Now we're going to apply the white base paint to the boxes. And this will help us give a solid white color to the boxes, and we'll be able to decorate them accordingly. So we can see as we apply this white paint, it's a very thick heavy paint, and it covers all the marks on our box. So this way we won't be left with any type of writing or colors underneath the colors we want to use to decorate our box. Depending on what you have underneath, you don't really need more than one coat. But you might have some very dark images underneath.
That still look like their coming through, so you might want to wait until it dries and then you can apply and touch up in certain areas a second coat. Don't apply too much because it is a very thick paint and it goes on very heavy. Another option would be to take some colored paper and just cover the areas, we can glue the areas around with color cardboard. And obviously that would skip the whole steps of painting the boxes, even though that you would be able to just cover it with colored paper. Leaving out the paint from.
This project is kind of a down side for kids who really enjoy painting. So I'm sure they'll enjoy much more going through these steps of covering the box, and coloring it. But again if you're short on time or you just want to use what materials you have available to you, it could also be colored in that way. Just by painting different, by pasting, taping different colored paper around the box. You'd get the same effect. So you can see this paint really covers up what's underneath. So you don't have to necessarily look specifically.
Military experience helped this Marine veteran become a model and entrepreneur Spotlight Series
I'm Cedric Terrell. Marine Vet, Professional photographer in Los Angeles. It's a special bond that have and all vets have different backgrounds I like to tell a story my fellow veterans through photography. This is Spotlight Series My name is Destiny Monique I am a model actress and I am a former Marine. I spent four years in the Marine Corps, stationed camp pendleton. I also went to Iraq and Kuwait. So there's tons of models and actresses in the industry and I knew that I was a marine so I kinda of used that to my advantage.
I was in tons of magazine spreads. I was in FHM, Maxim. I did a couple spreads in Spain. I also now run a company called. Models for America. So I took what I knew with working with a whole bunch of models. I started shooting them for trading cards, posters, and then we sell it all online and a portion of proceeds is donated to charity. So, today I got the chance to shoot with destiny. She wanted some portraits so we did some that were fun and sexy. Really just showed off her personality and gave her a chance to have fun.
Oral History Tutorial George Luzier on the craft of building beautiful wooden boats
Well, let's start over there with the first ones. My name is George B. Luzier. And I was born 61224 in Sarasota, Florida. So I'm a downtoearth Cracker. This was my second boat. My first boat I don't have pictures of right now. I was about 14 and that's built in my mother's garage over on Pomelo Street. And this is Clark's Ark and it was built way back, that was over in the old Rec Hall building. And it's still up in Bradenton and it's still going strong. It's been a very successful boat and everybody.
Loves it. That's a 16foot outboard. We built, I don't know, 5 or 6 of them. My typical day is I get up at six o'clock and get moving, try to get over at the shop about eight. There's always something I can do. Some days, you know, you're building or doing something, you're right in there cuttin', sawin', and goin' at it hammer and tong. Now right here. I don't see my favorite tool but that's a Stihl electric plane. You can see it's had a little hard usage. I've had it, I know, 50 years. It run good, never.
Gave any problem. They never made a better saw than that 14inch Delta. And that saw's, oh, I'm sure it's at least 60 years old. I've had it for 50odd years. I bought it secondhand. But it's just a good, ruggedit's a heavy little mother. And on the bigger boats, see, we'd pick that up and throw it inside the boat, don't have to walk back and forth and save a lot of time. That's a 3115 Singer, and it'll sew most anything you stick under it. But it's full of all sorts of glameration of. whatever. And I've got, you know, most.
Of these tools, I don't want 'em to hang on the wall and show and this and that, they're to be used. Like this little plane here, a lot of things you want to set at a depth or something, on a surface, and this works great. And this old timer. Well, you never got enough clamps. Nah, it's been, ah, it's been interesting to do and I've had a lot of enjoyment out of it. You know, some of the job parts are not that easy, but you know, it don't.
